Who sings here
Olympia is a 32-voice ensemble made up of three tiers of singers from the region's choral community: 16 of Portland’s finest vocal professionals, eight high school Choral Interns, and eight collegiate Choral Scholars, all singing side by side. We have a limited number of openings across all voice types in our professional core for the 2026–27 season.
Audition requirements
Come prepared to sing an art song or aria and sight-read a choral excerpt. Larger, operatic voices are welcome to audition; we're listening for your ability to blend as much as your solo sound. Auditions for the 16 professional spots for the 2026–27 season are closed.
Commitment & season
Professional singers are paid a competitive hourly rate. Rehearsals run on Monday nights, consolidated into four 3-hour blocks ahead of each concert:
Fall | Fauré's Requiem | Oct 18, 3 pm
Winter | Voices of Winter | Dec 20, 3 pm & Dec 21, 7 pm
Spring | Cordillera: Range of the Americas | Mar 14, 2027, 3 pm
Ready to audition?
Auditions for the 16 professional vocalist positions are closed for the 2026 - 2027 season. If you’d like to explore substitute opportunities, message us at info@nwvocalarts.org.
